Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi, Adria Arjona’s Bax Caleen, Oscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron … Star Wars has always been comprised of certified hotties, and The Acolyte is no different. But the latest episode might just be its steamiest yet, and fans are absolutely living for it.

Like it or not, Star Wars is, at its core, about love. Yes, X-wings and TIE fighters aside, George Lucas’ original vision for the franchise resembles something closer to a soap opera than a sci-fi epic, with Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) and Padmé Amidala’s (Natalie Portman) forbidden romance being a central focus of the prequel trilogy. And with love comes, well … “Hey, point that thing somewhere else!”

The High Republic era might’ve just found a stand-in for one of the most beloved Jedi Masters in Star Wars history. And now that he’s made his debut in episode 6 of Leslye Headland’s The Acolyte, the show could take him in nearly any direction, good or bad.

If Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of a lanky, quick-witted Jedi Padawan with a British twang and luscious red locks to boot, well, think again, because the latest episode of The Acolyte, titled “Teach/Corrupt,” just brought someone new to the table. Behold, Harry Trevaldwyn’s Mog, who’s the kind of guy who will remind you to down some Dramamine and ginger ale before a 6 AM flight. You might recognize this actor from My Lady Jane, which is also enjoying a solid run on streaming. So, who is Mog, and what will his role be in the greater Star Wars universe?

Ser Davos Blackwood (Kieran Burton) just made his debut in season 2 of HBO’s House of the Dragon, and it was pretty short-lived, to say the least. So, who is this character, and why are people so up in arms about his appearance in the show?

HBO’s hit Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon is many things, but a beat-by-beat adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s 2018 novel Fire & Blood, it is not. Although the series uses similar characters and plot points, many things differ between the pages of the book and what we actually see play out onscreen. So even though the build-up to the Dance of the Dragons plays out much the same, the TV show just changed how the first blood spilled in the latest episode, appropriately titled “The Burning Mill.”

A new character just made his debut in season 4 of Prime Video’s R-rated superhero satire, The Boys. And chances are, you recognize his actor from a very different corner of the TV landscape: Star Wars.

Look, it’s not exactly a secret that showrunner Eric Kripke has steadily collected actors from his long-running CW series, Supernatural, throughout all seasons of The Boys. From Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy to Jim Beaver’s Robert Singer (yes, that’s an in-joke for us Bobby Singer girlies out there) to rumors of Jared Padalecki joining the cast for season 5, it’s obvious that Kripke likes working with the same crew, and for a good reason. Now, it seems like he’s (perhaps, inadvertently) reuniting the cast of a different mega-successful series from Disney for season 4 … or should I say, the galaxy far, far away?

Last week’s episode of the The Acolyte—the newest addition to the galaxy far, far away—was a bit of a doozy. Well, at least where a TV-14-rated Star Wars show is concerned. So, after leaving us on a major cliffhanger, when can we expect episode 6 to roll out on Disney+?

The Acolyte has been something of a hit-or-miss series thus far, with disgruntled Star Wars “fans” (many of whom are just flat-out trolls) taking time out of their day to review-bomb it on Rotten Tomatoes for any number of ridiculous reasons. However, the tide finally seems to be turning in the show’s favor following the release of episode 5, titled “Night,” which features what very well might go down as one of the most intense moments in recent Star Wars history.

We’ve officially crossed the halfway point in season 4 of Prime Video’s hit superhero satire, The Boys. After that absolute killfest of a fifth episode, when can we expect episode 6 to land on streaming?

The latest episode of The Boys, titled “Beware the Jabberwork, My Son,” was maybe the most shocking (and flat-out ridiculous) entry in season 4 thus far, giving us everything from man-eating farm animals to some major revelations about Comp V and the Supe-killing virus. Still, its sillier moments were undercut with a seriously tragic arc for Hughie (Jack Quaid) and his dad (Simon Pegg). With Billy Butcher’s (Karl Urban) endgame now in sight, it’s clear that we’re coming up on the finish line for both the season and the series as a whole—creator Eric Kripke confirmed that The Boys season 5 will be its last earlier this month, after all.

Whether you like it or not, the latest Star Wars show to hit Disney+, The Acolyte, just proved that it’s more than capable of handling lightsaber combat. And dare I say … the action sequences featured in episode 5 may be among the best we’ve seen since the George Lucas era.

So far, it’s been a bumpy road for The Acolyte, which stars Amandla Stenberg as Force-sensitive twins Mae and Osha. The show takes place during the High Republic era, and sees Osha, a former Jedi, reuniting with her fallen sister after she’s framed for the murder of Jedi Master Indara (Carrie-Anne Moss). Similarly to pretty much any of the Disney-helmed Star Wars endeavors, toxic fanboys have crawled out of the woodwork and onto X to bash The Acolyte for a number of ridiculous reasons, whether that be its diverse cast, LGBTQ+ representation, or Stenberg’s 2018 comment about wanting to “make white people cry”—which was taken wildly out of context, mind you.

The biggest and baddest dragon of them all is poised to play an important role in the encroaching Targaryen Civil War on this season of HBO’s House of the Dragon. And with an absolute sociopath in the saddle, she could easily reduce Westeros to ash.

After sitting through eight whole seasons of Game of Thrones anxiously awaiting the arrival of dragons, only to see more, ahem, male anatomy than entirely necessary (thank you, South Park—IYKYK), the spinoff series House of the Dragon is finally delivering on its promise of, well, actually showing dragons. Who would’ve thought! So far, we’ve seen Syrax, Caraxes, Seasmoke, Vermax, and Arrax (RIP) take to the skies, among others, and from the sound of it, there are still plenty of dragons (and eggs) out there waiting to be claimed. But perhaps none are quite as terrifying as Vhagar, who’s just as unhinged as her current rider, Prince Aemond Targaryen (Ewan Mitchell).

Nowadays, it’s easy to feel pretty useless. Taxes, inflation, a dwindling job market…it’s kind of a terrible time to be a young adult. And with House of the Dragon season 2 having just landed on Max, it’s even more devastating to see just how competent Rhaenyra is, even as a child. So, just how old is she?

Napoleon was at the ripe old age of 26 when he conquered Italy, which makes his career look meandering compared to Rhaenyra Targaryen’s (Emma D’Arcy/Milly Alcock). While she did, admittedly, make some mistakes along the way, Rhaenyra has been that girl since day one, confident, self-assured, and exceptionally strong-willed. I mean, by 26, she’d already popped out some babies, learned how to fly dragons, and made herself a crucial part of palace life—all before she was ever crowned “Queen.” Well, of Dragonstone, at least. I can’t even schedule a doctor’s appointment without my mom’s help, TBH.

Phewwwwww. Last night’s episode of House of the Dragon was a doozy, to say the least, detailing the explosive aftermath of the “Blood and Cheese” scene that saw Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) inadvertently (well, kind of) ordering the death of Jaehaerys, the heir to the Iron Throne. Back at Dragonstone, things aren’t all sunshine and rainbows for power couple Daemon and Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy), the latter of whom isn’t too pleased with her uncle/husband’s brash decision to get back at the Greens for the death of Lucerys (Elliot Grihault) by claiming the life of another innocent child—without getting her approval first. Leslye Headland’s The Acolyte is the latest addition to the galaxy far, far away, and although it takes place 100 years prior to the Skywalker Saga, there are plenty of Easter eggs connecting it to the broader Star Wars universe. Here’s a full breakdown of everything we’ve caught (so far).

The Acolyte has officially made its Disney+ debut, taking Star Wars fans back in time to the High Republic era for the first time in live action. The show stars Amandla Stenberg as Force-sensitive twins Mae and Osha, though it’s safe to say that there’s not a lot of sisterly love going on here. After their home planet of Brendock is destroyed in a fire, the twins take diverging paths, with Osha going on to become a Jedi under the assumption that her sister is dead. However, there’s a bigger mystery going on behind the scenes—one that involves the Jedi Masters who were present on that fateful night Brendock burned.

Inside Out 2, the followup to 2015’s Inside Out, is out this weekend, bringing audiences on a heartwarming and highly emotional (literally) return to Riley’s (Kensington Tallman) “Headquarters.” But what are Disney and Pixar’s plans for the franchise moving forward, and will they include an Inside Out 3?

Inside Out 2 is now playing in theaters nationwide—and it’s safe to say that anticipation is at an all-time high. For one, the 2015 original was a hit with audiences, resonating with both adults and children (as does any good Pixar movie). The sequel also sees the addition of some exciting Hollywood A-listers to the main ensemble, including Emmy-winner Ayo Edebiri as Envy, Maya Hawke as Anxiety, Adèle Exarchopoulos as Ennui, and Paul Walter Hauser as Embarrassment.

Showrunner Leslye Headland certainly knows how to bring the suspense in her new Star Wars show, The Acolyte. But now that we’re nearing the halfway point, when will the series address the Jedi-sized elephant in the room? And will we finally get answers when episode 4 arrives on Disney+?

So far, The Acolyte has already killed off Carrie-Anne Moss, brought us the glory and splendor of the #YordHorde, and pissed off half of the Star Wars fandom—all in just three 40-minute episodes! A round of applause, please. While the series is still finding its footing on streaming, The Acolyte has some intriguing concepts at its heart, including the question of what’s truly “good” or “evil”—not dissimilar to the core themes of George Lucas’ original and prequel trilogies.
