What’s Phantom Blade Zero about?

Phantom Blade Zero is described as a semi-open world RPG. There will be loot to uncover and forbidden combat skills to discover. If the spooky vibe and brutal combat didn’t clue you in, it’s totally a Soulslike. Despite what the title would have you believe, there are lots more blades than “zero.” A quick peek at the gameplay trailer and you’ll see katanas. Axes. All sorts of edged weapons to bury into the faces of your foes. And they don’t look all that phantasmal either. They look like cold steel. Awesome.

Titanfall 2 is one of the more recent game-changing revolutionizers of the genre. Set in a hard sci-fi future, the human race has taken a page out of the mecha anime playbook and decided to equip its military personnel with fancy AI-run mechs called Titans. Your mech? A big, hulking cinnamon roll named BT. You spend the game running and gunning Mirror’s Edge style and then jumping into the cockpit of your bulletproof buddy to put the hurt on a renegade mercenary group. While the gameplay is top-notch, the real star of the show is the buddy cop robot x human drama at the heart of it.

That puts players in an interesting position when approaching the DLC. Some games, like God of War: Ragnarock, have DLCs which happen after the main story is over. Other games, like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, released their DLC after most of us had finished the game, and while the DLC absolutely would’ve made more sense to do over the course of the normal progression of the game, we did it anyway and had a nice time.

As reported by Blizzard, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation Charity Event was a special Overwatch limited event that was held from March 8 to May 21, 2018 by Blizzard and BCRF to raise money for charity and research. There were unlockables related to charity for players to earn, as well as paid cosmetics. The most sought-after skin from the event was Pink Mercy. This skin cost $14.99 at the time, and all of the proceeds went directly to BCRF.

Damon and Baird had big boots to fill. Marcus and Dom-sized boots. While the two buddies are some of the best side characters in gaming history, the Gears series suffers when its two main stars are not in the spotlight. Set as a prequel to the original Gears of War, Gears of War: Judgment is by no means a bad game. After all, its heartpoundingly fun cover-based shooter mechanics had been heightened to chainsaw blade sharpness by previous games in the series. It’s just not quite as grand of a story, but how could it be? It’s more of an appetizer of a game, while the following are the main course.
